NYC Cleaning Cost: Standard vs. Move-Out at a Flat-Rate Provider

A NYC provider lists flat rates from $115 for a studio standard clean and $225 for a studio move-out clean.

Green Hands Cleaning Services publishes separate New York City rates for routine and move-out work. A studio standard clean is $115; a studio move-in/move-out clean is $225. For a two-bedroom home, the posted rates are $165 standard and $325 move-out. Read the provider’s rate card.

The move-out premium is $110 for a studio ($225 − $115) and $160 for a two-bedroom ($325 − $165). The provider says move-out work includes inside cabinets, drawers, closets, and appliances, while the standard service covers regular rooms and surfaces. That scope explains the premium better than an hourly comparison.

Choose standard cleaning for an occupied home on a maintenance schedule. Choose move-out when an empty apartment needs an inspection-focused reset. Add-ons such as an oven or refrigerator interior are separately listed at $45 and $40, so do not assume they are included in the standard rate.

These are the provider’s flat rates checked September 8, 2026 for its stated Queens, Brooklyn, and Manhattan service area. Ask about stairs, heavy pet hair, access, and the exact address before booking; the page says those conditions can change a quote.

For a studio, separately adding the posted oven, refrigerator and cabinet-interior extras to standard service would produce $115 + $45 + $40 + $50 = $250. The $225 move-out price may cover the needed interiors for $25 less in this specific comparison. Confirm the checklist and eligibility for the empty apartment before choosing: an add-on calculation is not automatically a bookable package.

Record the flat quote, add-ons, cancellation window, and re-clean policy in the booking email. The provider advertises a 24-hour re-clean guarantee, but that is a service policy rather than a rent-deposit guarantee. Keep photographs of the empty rooms and any pre-existing damage. That makes the $225 decision auditable if a property manager later asks what was cleaned.

Green Hands’ move-out checklist confirms the operational difference: the empty-home service covers cabinet, closet, and appliance interiors and supplies a same-day photo report. Read the provider’s NYC move-out checklist before comparing the $225 starting price with a landlord’s checklist.
